Sporting all black in 90-degree weather, Ryan Zimmerman (vocals) from Greeley Estates must be some sort of rare breed of musician who doesn’t feel pain.
SC: How do you handle pre-pubescent girls?
Ryan: (Laughs) I love ‘em. I love ‘em all – they support the band the most.
SC: What’s it like to live out a van for so many weeks at a time?
Ryan: We’re in an R.V. so it’s not as bad. We’re used to traveling so it’s our home and we give each other space, stay in our bunks – it’s good. It’s kind of rough. First couple of tours it was rough, but we’re getting used to it.
SC: What are your favorite snacks on the road?
Ryan: Mine are prophetic – Circle K bars and sugar free Red Bulls. Blue berry Circle K bars – they’re like rice krispies treats.
SC: What’s your dream job?
Ryan: This! This is my dream job. We’ve got a long way to go.
SC: If you could anywhere in the world besides this hot place, where would it be?
Ryan: Probably somewhere hotter, like Phoenix, where I’m from. I’m used to it.
