A few questions with Todd Fink from The Faint:

Smashed Chair: Is The Geeks Were Right your way of honoring the Revenge of the Nerds movies?

Todd: Ha, not really. It was recognizing all those people who are scientists and the smarter people who told us about our future and now they’re right. Most of the things they spoke on – like Global Warming – is coming true.

SC: My friends got drunk and photographed you at Neighborhood Festival last year.

Todd: Oh…um.

SC: Not really a question.

Todd: Well, that was an interesting show. It almost didn’t happen due to an accident. There are trailers that we wait in before our time to play and there was an electrical fire. So, there was a fire and the fire trucks had to come. It was really exciting and it turned out to be a pretty good show.

SC: If your band were a child, it would be a 12-year-old prepubescent, sarcastic, impolite brat. What do you see for your band in the future?

Todd: Yeah, we just have to let it grow from here. Right?
